Awesome! This is easily the best lineup Unearth has had on a headlining tour in quite some time.

I'd probably go to see this if it came here. Chimaria and Unearth are both pretty good for groove/metalcore, and then there's Skeletonwitch

They've done em before! My first few Skeletonwitch shows were on their headlining tours.

Amen to that. Every Unearth headlining tour since like 2007 has had the shittiest of shitty support acts.

Fuck that. It's far and away the best lineup for any tour they've ever been involved with...ever.

EDIT: I think the gods of metal may have finally heard my pleas. Now all that's left is for me to find out I can't attend any of the dates within 200 miles of where I live.

There is a good shot of you getting a date, Chimaira's headlining tour isn't coming to Cleveland. Hoepfully you do get a date, Unearth and Chimaira are both awesome live (Skeletonwitch is too, but you already know that)

may not be a cleveland show on this tour because of chimaira's annual christmas show. unless they do it before christmas and at the end of this tour, which they have done before. i would hope that for your sake so you get unearth and what not, their standalone christmas shows almost always have weak support bands.

last time they headlined was with Carnifex, Veil of maya and the ghost inside. Unearth barely made up for this terrible support

I've actually seen Chimaira before as well. It was in 2009, and the show was a surprise free warm-up gig they played before going on tour later that year. They were awesome.

Of course, it was the night after I saw Isis / Pelican / Keelhaul at the Grog Shop, so Chimaira was only like the cherry on top of an already fucking awesome peanut butter fudge sundae, but still - they were damn good.

What you say about the Christmas show is true, but the support bands are generally what you would consider "weak" because they are local. Those gigs are always more about getting some up & coming bands some more exposure than they are about putting together a killer line-up. I've almost gone to a handful of them, but something always seems to come up to prevent me from going. I probably will, eventually.

Also, I don't see why the Christmas show would prevent them from playing a headliner in Cleveland - again, since the Christmas show is a one-off deal and it's about getting exposure for newer bands just as much as it is about Chimaira playing...but we'll see.
