This year they asked us if we wanted Obscura on the lineup and look how that turned out...

Obscura got the offer to be on Summer Slaughter, Hannes said they will take it if there is very few Deathcore bands, since they get poor reception from Deathcore fans. Which I can't blame them, if they don't take it, they'll headline again in the summer.

as much as im not into deathcore, what year has there NOT been at least 1 core band?! I've never seen any flier or ad sayin or callin it a "death metal" tour. Do i prefer as few core bands as possible? YES. But IMO its good to have at least 1 or 2 that way i have a break to get a drink, merch, hang with others, or meet the bands. With the bad comes the good

No doubt that's what the SS folks are thinking, but if they book one good band and a bunch of horseshit, then it really puts them right back where they started. Here's hoping they get their heads out of their asses.

Well like I said Hannes said they'd do it if there is a only a couple Deathcore bands or less. If it is more towards the Death Metal side they are jumping right in.


Deathcore kids don't want technical Death-influenced Metal. They want Br000000000tal.

But case in point, the lineup is nowhere near finalized yet, so let all the speculation keep going.
