Sigh... yes I've seen the DVD's. Sadly yes I am very aware I missed out. Adrenaline Mob is Sept. 6, its not much but I know there won't be a ton of people there so that's still something I suppose.

If nothing else you get to see Russell Allen. Something I have never done.

That sucks. I don't even like DT and I've seen them twice... Sorry!

On the subject of Mr. Portnoy, I'm getting sick of this guy.

I will say though that when I did see him with Avenged Sevenfold he was good. It was pretty cool when he would break a drumstick they would throw him one from the side of the stage and somehow he would catch them.

Same here. Once on the Prog Nation tour because I wanted to see Opeth, and once opening for Maiden. Well, I like a few songs - I can appreciate the musicianship for sure, I just don't listen to them.

This whole split has been hilarious to follow. Wishing the band luck in the legal side of things..

This is fucking hilarious:

Quote:
ex-DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy filed a lawsuit against his former bandmates in April claiming that they "wrongfully excluded" him from the group and are "wrongfully using the name of the band in connection with [their] recording of an album without the participation or consent of [Portnoy]." In addition, the drummer's complaint, which was filed on April 27, alleges that the defendants — John Petrucci (guitar), John Myung (bass), Jordan Rudess (keyboards), James LaBrie (vocals), along with associated companies Ytse Jam, Inc. and Infinity Tours, Inc. — "are wrongfully using the name of the band in connection with the promotion of live performances by the individual defendants, without the participation or consent of [Portnoy]."
