Anthrax - Spreading the Disease ![]() I've never been too big into Anthrax, but this album sticks out and has earned a spot here. I just love everything about this album. It's not my ideal thrash album to be honest but it's still one hell of an album! The guitar work on this is awesome. The riffs and solos stand out and make me want to play them on guitar all the time. But the thing I love about this album the most, which usually isn't the case for a lot of albums, is the vocals. Joey Belladonna is an amazing vocalist and fits in perfect with the album. His highs and regular singing voice are spectacular and really make this album. All around, Spreading the Disease is an awesome album! It's incredibly catchy and upbeat throughout the entire time and has many moments where you'll be going ![]() Not to mention that Madhouse brings back great memories of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City! ![]() Highlights: Madhouse Armed and Dangerous Aftershock

Toxic Holocaust - An Overdose of Death ![]() Toxic Holocaust has always been an... interesting band. They play a style of black/thrash that sounds unique due to the heavy punk and speed metal influence. It really shows the most on this album, every song is varied throughout the whole thing. You have fast songs like Wild Dogs, Nuke the Cross, and Gravelord. And then you have the mid paced ones like The Lord of the Wasteland and Feedback, Blood & Distortion. I'm particularly fond of the really fast tracks, since that's my thing, but Toxic Holocaust do it right no matter what they're (he's?) writing. If you're a fan of black/thrash and punk and for some reason haven't heard this album, then you'll really enjoy it. Also, that album cover ![]() Highlights: Gravelord War is Hell Wild Dogs

Artillery - By Inheritance ![]() This is an interesting, yet awesome album. Artillery is a well known thrash band to fans of thrash, yet was pretty underrated at the time. I personally think they reached their peak with this album. The guitars stand out the most on here. The riffs are very technical but consistent throughout the album. I like to call them "exquisite," for whatever reason. The solos keep up the technicality, being very fast and complicated yet enjoyable to listen to. The vocals are a bit more high pitched than some thrash, but they do fit the album very well. Everything flows together very well on here. The entire album filled with technical, yet catchy songs and can easily be called one of thrash metal's top albums. If you love thrash metal or just music altogether with a lot of creative technicality, I guarantee that you will enjoy this album. Also, the Nazareth cover of Razamanaz is AWESOME! Highlights: Beneath the Clay (R.I.P.) By Inheritance Don't Believe

Testament - The New Order ![]() Classic Testament album right here. The New Order is a mix of incredible thrash riffs and mesmerizing guitar fills/intros to make one great album. Examples of these awesome thrash riffs are in songs like The New Order and the thrash classic, Into the Pit. Examples of songs with these eerie and mesmerizing clean guitar parts are Eerie Inhabitants, Disciples of the Watch, Musical Death (A Dirge) and the interlude, Hypnosis. With the exception of the latter 2 mentioned, these songs with the clean guitar parts usually have the rest of the song distorted. Like with a lot of thrash albums, the guitars and vocals stand out the most here. I personally love the riffs on this album along with Chuck Billy's vocals, his voice just fits this album (and genre of music) perfectly. This album is regarded as a thrash classic, by me and the majority of metal fans, and if you haven't heard it by now I encourage you to listen to it. Highlights: Into the Pit - At least take a listen to this song for one of the best songs in thrash metal. Disciples of the Watch The New Order
