Papa Roach - Infest

All right, first things first: if you deny that you ever liked this album at some point in your teenage life, then you're lying. I discovered this album around 12 (figured out that this was the band who did "Last Resort") and bought it immediately. This is such an angst-ridden record. Hell, this is like the epitome of nu metal right here. Downtuned guitar, rapping, turntablism, angsty lyrics. Not as dark/edgy as Korn, but still very heavy. The title track that opens the record is great; "Last Resort" is even better. Still to this day, there's a bunch of catchy shit on here. And, today, on my first listen in a long time, I was pleasantly surprised that there are some pretty sick metal riffs here, not just your typical nu-metal bullshit.

and everything else is reallyyyyyyyyy good as well

DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF I CUT MY ARM BLEEDING

Last Resort was the most hardcore song back in 3rd grade. I remember when the cool 5th grader in the back of the bus would say "DONT GIVE A FUCK IF I CARRY ON BREATHING" and we would all giggle cause he said a cuss word, good times.

I can't say I liked the album, since "Last Resort" was the only song I ever heard. But fuck me sideways if that wasn't the most hardcore song in grade school! Until I found this little band called Metallica...

ok, so I thought I would make a thread of shitty nu-metal albums for the purpose of attracting controversy because I'm jumping on JD's bandwagon, but apparently this is turning into a nostalgia thread

also, donnely, you got the lyric wrong man
