I know the songs you're singing saying nothing loud and clear I've heard that song a thousand times

I'll prefer a tour based on Hybrid Theory or the Reanimation albums. That will be sweet and maybe a possibility in the future.

Disturbed – The Sickness

OOOHWAAAHAAAAHAAAAHAAH

I originally wasn't considering this album for the list, but only because I forgot about it. Now, let's get oone thing straight here: this album is on the list for one song, and ONE SONG ONLY. And I'm not gonna say what the name of the song is because it should be obvious. But this song I'm speaking of? Along with “Last Resort,” it is probably the definitive Nu-metal song.

Disturbed took a very aggressive approach to nu-metal, sorta like Slipknot but Disturbed don't really sound like Slipknot. It's still got the downtuning and occasional turntablism and everything but this album doesn't really have the tongue-in-cheek whimsicalness of the modern-day genuis known only as Fred Durst. I could say it's serious...but it's hard not to laugh at lyrics like this:

I've been waiting my whole life for just one fuck
And all I needed was just one fuck
How can you say that you don't give a fuck
I find myself stupified, coming back again
All I wanted was just one fuck
One tiny little innocent fuck
And when I feel like I'm shit out of luck
I find myself stupified, coming back again
All the people in the left wing rock
And all the people in the right wing rock
And all the people in the underground rock
I find myself stupified, coming back again
All the people in the high rise rock
And all the people in the projects rock
And all la gente in the barrio rock
I find myself stupified, coming back again

^what in the actual fuck is he saying?! Is he actually saying something metaphorical and I'm too dumb to figure it out???!!!

Disturbed in the house, we're droppin' plates
I'm droppin' plates on your ass, bitch

^that's from “Droppin' Plates,” which is no doubt the most nu-metal song on the album complete with rapping and those awesome electronics

Also, they cover the song “Shout” by Tears for Fears, which is completely unnecesary but extremely hilarious. But you wanna know the best part? They called it “Shout 2000”

All in all this is a pretty essential nu-metal album in my opinion, if not for one song. But the rest of the album's not bad. fuckin' beast album cover, too.

GET UP GET DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS
LET YOUR HATE FLOW INTO ME

No mommy, don't do it again
Don't do it again
I'll be a good boy
I'll be a good boy, I promise
No mommy don't hit me
Why did you have to hit me like that, mommy?
Don't do it, you're hurting me
Why did you have to be such a bitch
Why don't you

Why don't you just fuck off and die
Why can't you just fuck off and die
Why can't you just leave here and die
Never stick your hand in my face again bitch
FUCK YOU
I don't need this shit
You stupid sadistic abusive fucking whore
How would you like to see how it feels mommy
HERE IT COMES GET READY TO DIE

Unsure if either of these "qualify" as Nu but I would make my #1 Co #1s with Union Undergrounds only album and American Head Charge's War Of Art. I can listen to both of those and not want to skip a track.

I'm loving this thread. You're summing up my childhood in a few albums

Hhahaha yes. I still keep The Sickness in my music library for moments I'm feeling hyper nostalgic for being 12.
