Will be a good signing from what I hear....everyone on the Spurs' board I frequent are pissed off that we aren't in for him.

other deadline day news....apparently Bolton have accepted Spurs offer for Cahill, personal terms and medical are being worked on.

That one was always going to happen. Rumour is David Bentley going the other way. West Ham also signed Papa Bouba Diop yesterday. When the hell did he get to be 33 years old?

Also looks like Yakubu going to Blackburn, and despite denial by their director of football, Marseille's Andre Pierre Gignac is somewhere in England thrashing out a deal.

One year contract for Zdenek Grygera. Looks like the cottage is trying to get some class in it

Baffling signing. We don't need him. Certainly at that age.

Right at the death, but we got Bryan Ruiz (10.6m), and also signed 23-year-old Portugal international striker Orlando Sa on a free from Porto.

Pretty pleased with that. Don't really care about Grygera, but happy we've hopefully got a couple of exciting strikers. We missed out on Alan Hutton and Derek Boateng, but not too broken up about those.

Other late deals which went through:

Peter Crouch - Spurs > Stoke (10m)
Raul Meireles - Liverpool > Chelsea
Yossi Benayoun - Chelsea > Arsenal
Mikel Arteta - Everton > Arsenal
Craig Bellamy - Man City > Liverpool
David Ngog - Liverpool > Bolton (4m - what a joke)
Gael Kakuta - Chelsea > Bolton (loan until January 1)
Wilson Palacios - Spurs > Stoke (6m - another joke)
Jermaine Jenas - Spurs > Aston Villa
Alan Hutton - Spurs > Aston Villa (4m)
Nicklas Bendtner - Arsenal > Sunderland
Shaun Wright-Phillips - Man City > QPR
Scott Dann - Birmingham > Blackburn
Yakubu - Everton > Blackburn

All pretty interesting in the end. Just wish Newcastle hadn't fucked around with that lame attempt to hijack our Ruiz signing and drag it out until the last minute.

Glad to see the window is closed though...

Now we can get onto the Euro-qualifiers, and the rest of the year, in peace.
