The fact that this isn't metal wouldn't be an issue if he played Bitches Ain't Shit.

Yeah. So. Fuck, this was amazing. Probably the best time I've seen him.
If there's only one downside to this amazing show, it was that it was so blisteringly hot the entire day. Ben made it a point to act like he had a drinking problem when he was only chugging water. And what was the best about this show (and usually happens at every Ben show) is that he was just goofing around. He's never gotten angry at a heckler or been negative about requests shouted from the crowd. In fact, in his solo portion, two of the songs, "Smoke" and "Selfless, Cold, and Composed" were requests that the crowd shouted out. It was great. This was also the first time since Oct. of 2008 that I've seen Ben with a backing band, and they were great. He's been using the same drummer ever since he attempted to get a steady backing band after Ben Folds Five broke up, but the best part was the multi-instrumentalist off to the side of the stage who added, along with many others, french horn to many songs and just added a whole new vibe to songs. I also think that when they were playing new songs, especially on "Doc Pomus" and "Belinda", they played it a lot slower and a lot more laid back. But yeah, I was going into this concert assuming I wouldn't hear any songs I haven't heard before, but I was pleasantly surprised. Finally got to hear "Adelaide", "Smoke", "Jackson Cannery" (MY SONG!), along with new songs from the new album, "Claire's Ninth" and "Saskia Hamilton." It's also been a loooong time since I've heard him do "Uncle Walter" and "Brick", so that was really enjoyable. Both of his improv jams were really long and really fun, as well. Dude is hecka talented. Best time I've seen him, by far. 10/10
