I've listened to Kvelertak before and I really don't see why they are so worshipped around here. I mean they aren't bad, but I don't really see what's so special about them.

Note that this may be true for TH as well - I wouldn't know - but I'm just saying that Kvelertak has heart in spades, my friend (pun on playing card suits not intended ).
Couldn't he said it better myself. They just put together what should be simple music and give it a fresh breath of creativity and spunk. Their music is just fun to listen to; I don't have to sit down and analyze it to "get" it or wade through mediocre passages. They write solid riffs which result in solid songs.

This. The first couple songs on the album are great but towards the end of the album stuff starts getting old, I think.

I looove TH, but, c'mon. The hipster appeal is not there.
Plus the fact that they never ever change up their setlist. I'm waiting for the new album to come out so they can at least play that. I wish they would play a lot more from Hell on Earth.

I've heard 3 Kvelterak songs, today and yesterday, on youtube. Meh.
If I want new rock I will go for the superior badassery of Midnight.
What I meant by heart was a complete life immersion in the music, for Joel that would be 80s speed/black metal. This just seems like a new bands trying to make money off Relapse.
