DOWN to release four consecutive, related EPs

At the press conference at Sweden Rock Festival Phil Anselmo and Pepper Keenan revealed the newly written Down material will be released as an EP (eight tracks written, best five to make the disc).

This will be followed by three further EPs. The first one will be all very heavy, riffy tracks. They didn't reveal what the musical themes of the other three will be.

I read an interview with Kirk somewhere and he said the first would be heavy/riffy, the second might be acoustic songs, the third would be something experimental and the 4th would be heavy again. I'll try to find where I read it.

Awesome! I can't wait for this! They're the type of band that just can't write terrible songs. I love everything they have put out and will continue to do so in the future.
