If I could afford the gas, I'd be going to both.

I guess the only advantage is that I did get to see Opeth twice already. But I've yet to see Katatonia.

But I've yet to see Enslaved, Alcest, or Ghost.

IT'S NOT FAIR, IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!!

I like the sentiment, but there is ones here who can't see either. They are more deserving.

To make things worse, both go on sale this Friday. Enlsaved is $15adv/$17 at the door. Not sure about Opeth yet.

All the Opeth dates so far on ticketmaster look to be around $22-$27, about $30-$35 after fees.

So nearly double the price. If gas stayed the same price now (hahahahaha), that's 50 bucks for a trip there and back.

Damn this will be tough. I wish I could go to both.

I know that Opeth had no trouble selling out last time they came to Vancouver, and that was to an age-restricted venue (huge portion of metal fans here are under 19) that holds roughly 1,000 people. The population here is like 25% of NYC at best. Wikipedia tells me that the NYC venue holds ~2,500 people. So, probably likely.
