I didn't realize they were putting out an EP this year, and an album next year. I'll have to check out both.

Yeah, the EP is being sold in Europe exclusively at the shows, and released in North America on Laser's Edge at the end of June.

Stupidly, they are massively over-charging for the EP at the shows, so much so that it's cheaper for me to pre-order it on import from the US. How dumb is that?

They played two tracks from it in the set, 'Living In The Past' and 'Forgotten Lands', which is the main promotional track for the new PC game 'The Witcher 2'.

Yeah that is pretty messed up. Maybe it's because it's not out for sale yet everywhere else they are charging more for it. Pretty damn stupid.

How are the new songs, anything like the last album?

I don't have the last album, so difficult for me to offer a comparison, but I really liked the new ones. Both have awesome bass parts. Much less reliant on guitar than, say, 'Second Life Syndrome' was.

I just read the EP will actually be commercially released in Europe as well. That makes it even dumber!

That is a very good thing. My favorite album from Riverside is Anno Domini High Definition, so it sounds like they are going more in that direction. Awesome.
