Destruction -- Detroit, MI -- May 7th, 2011

Originally this was suppose to be just Destruction, Heathen, and Warbeast. But...Harpos decided to double book that night and also have Cavelera Conspiracy play. So it was two tours combined into one, which i thought was cool, since a couple years back the Majestic did this with the Napalm Death tour and the Haunted tour so i thought it could be interesting. But unlike that show, which was really awesome, this show was kind of a let down. Lazarus AD's bus broke down, and for some reason Heathen didnt play. Warbeast played and i thought they were okay. Great energy. Destruction was up, and considering they went on at about 8:30 i thought we were going to get a pretty standard headlining set from them. But we got an extremely butchered set (more on this after). Might be missing a song aswell.

As you can see the set is still really awesome. But what peeves me is i got the setlist after their set (it was just danging off the stage), and low and behold they butchered their originally intended set, which was (as on setlist):

We left about 8 or 9 songs into Cavalera Conspiracy. They were okay. But not my cup of tea.

That really sucks the set was cut so short, but at least it was still full of old songs!

What? Destruction agreed to play as the opener for Cavalera Conspiracy?? I would have imagined that Schmier would have thrown a bitch fit about it and cancelled the show

Holy crap dude that sucks. There were like 6 bands at the Chicago show and Destruction started at like 11:30 and played til 1 in the morning.

You should've gone up to Schirmer and thrown the set list at him, cursing hysterically.
