Obscura - Omnivium
This album kicks ass, no doubt about it. It not only met my expectations, but it completely blew them away. As of right now, i'd have to say that Septuagint, Prismal Dawn
, Celestial Spheres, Velocity, and Aevum are my favorite tracks, and that's not by a whole lot, because picking a favorite song in this album is like picking puppies that you don't want to be set on fire (that was a retarded comparison, but you get what i'm saying >_>). As you can tell, this album (to me at least) actually gets better towards the end, which is pretty fucking awesome. Definitely album of the year material for me so far.

The only song I don't like on this CD is Ocean Gateways, the singing effect is really annoying, I always skip that song.

Holy fuck. That's the best song on the album, brother. Man, are you missing the point on that one (plus, the vocal effect is only at the very end... ).BTW - I didn't know this thread existed, but I'll throw in my with a shameless plug for a Satanically sexy online review of this album.

I dunno, overall the singing on that song just bothers me.

Fair enough, to each his own. Personally, I fucking love it. It's very unique coming from a band such as Obscura, and it really stands out to me. It also gives the song an incredibly massive feeling, which is somewhat atyipical of most modern tech death.
