Hey Dudes. My PC at home has had some issues lately, and I can't use it. So only time I can get online is during downtime at work. I will post #9 today

Death
Leprosy
1988

Pure, old-school death metal goodness right, my boys. While I was not a huge fan of Death's later, more progressive work, nothing beats their first 2 albums, especially Leprosy. Chuck Schuldiner and his band are probably more responsible than anyone for the formation and progression of death metal and grindcore. RIP Chuck.

The title track is just an amazing, amazing song. It has everything that I value in a great death metal song: Speed, brutality, great vocals, and some groove. And it's 6+ minutes long, too. Track 3, 'Forgotten Past' is another classic. The main rythym is so groovy and just plain awesome. I love that you can hear the bass throughout. Great, great stuff. 'Left to Die' is another great tune. Not a weak tune on this album, and just pounds and grinds all the way through

Standout Tracks
Leprosy
Forgotten Past

It's nice to see a Death album in the top 10, yes.

But as far as Death albums go, this is one of the weakest. Actually, I think every Death album is better than this one except Spiritual Healing.

Who knows, though. There might just be another one to make the top 10.
