New In Flames Album....

Yea so apparently the new album due out in May is called "Sounds of a Playground Fading".....

I'm not one to bash an album just over its title or jump to any conclusions, but then Anders has stated the album was going to be "Darker, less Screaming, More Singing".

Wonderful. In before title changed to Sounds of a Once Great Band Fading.

This band has gone way past their prime. I liked some stuff off of Come Clarity, but other than that everything they've done after Clayman has been fail. Now that Jesper is gone, they're only gonna spiral even further down.

Not to mention this is a contender for worst album title of the year.

My first thought was LOL, followed closely by:

At least Dark Tranquillity is still respectable.

Even when both bands were at their peak I still liked Dark Tranquillity better. In Flames never made an album on the level of awesomeness as The Gallery

. Not to mention Dark Tranquillity is still making good music unlike In Flames.

I always thought that Colony > The Gallery... but then again The Gallery was never my favorite DT album.

But yeah new DT > new In Flames by a long shot.

And yeah, this album title is so bad that it makes me want to not ever listen to this album. But the fact that I still liked CC and ASOP to a much increased degree to the two previous than that.... grr, gotta hear it anyway.

ill check it out in hope that there is a decent song or two but i dont have my hopes up. And i definitely agree that DT is much more respectable these days then In Flames. however, Jester Race or Whoracle > The Gallery imo.
