The 'What Bands Rip Off Other Bands' Thread

I mentioned this idea in the 'What Are You Doing' thread, and it seemed pretty popular. I don't know if it's been done before... if it has, my apologies. I haven't been around that long.

Basically, this is to call out just what the title suggests - what bands/songs have directly ripped off other bands/songs?

Example #1:
The opening riff to "Undead" by Hollywood Undead is a direct rip off of "Crazy Train."

Example #2:
(by Dextrimental)
That fast riff in "Holy Roller" by Throwdown sounds like "Rise" by Pantera."

As jd091 suggested, let's safely avoid the obvious shit. No "OH THIS BREAKDOWN SOUNDS THE SAME AS THAT BREAKDOWN!!!" Let's stick to specifics, like riffs and whatnot.

NOt sure if I trust that video. I definetly want to hear that Excel song. //
Two bands can have similar sounding riffs and not be a rip off. Maybe it was unintentional or maybe they were paying tribute to a band that influenced them.

Want to talk about rip offs go to youtube and look up local metal band Downslave and tell me they don't sound exactly like Pantera

I'm not sure what you're listening to here The riffs in those two songs sound nothing alike. If you meant to say the riff from Roses On White Lace and BATM are simliar than yes I would agree. A direct rip off though? I don't think so.

Motorhead's 'No Class' is a rip-off of ZZ Top's 'Tush'.

This told me two important things. Well, I already knew the first one.

1) People are stupid
2) Bleak House are awesome. Their albums need to be re-issued so I can buy them.

Do a search on YouTube.

There are too many to name.
