Testament To Begin Recording New Album
British producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE, EXODUS) has revealed to Radio Metalthat he will enter the studio this summer with San Francisco Bay Area metal veterans TESTAMENT to begin work on the follow-up to 2008's "The Formation Of Damnation". A late 2011/early 2012 release is expected.
"The new album will most likely be a culmination of 'The Gathering' [1999] and 'The Formation of Damnation', but we're definitely not going to forget who we are or our roots. I think we've found a comfortable spot in our writing style," TESTAMENT vocalist Chuck Billy stated in a 2010 interview.

Hopefully they don't do the whole 'new album is in the works for six years' thing they did with TFOD, and hopefully it's better too. I didn't care much for TFOD save for a few tracks. Looking forward to it regardless.

We got them, I think, four times.
Once supporting Priest. Two headlining tours. And a one-off show. I should have seen them five times, but only ended up with three. I arrived too late to see their set opening for Priest and Megadeth, and got held up for 45 minutes at the gate to Tuska Open Air in Helsinki, missing their set there too. I did however get to see them at Sweden Rock Festival, and headlining in London twice, one of which was the one-off show where they play all of 'The Legacy' and all of 'The New Order' back-to-back. I'd be more than happy if they did such extensive touring again.
