Fun story: my friend used to work for the company that does security/ticket-taking/whatever at these events. She worked Rockfest a few years ago and was in charge of checking passes for people to go to the "backstage" area and she said she saw Corey Taylor throw the hugest whiniest shit-fit because he had just performed his first ever solo show and no one liked it.

I seriously think that there are about 30 or 40 "modern rock" bands that are put in a fish bowl and the first 15 picked do Rockfest. It is always the same sounding bands. I got to see STP do it a few years ago and that was only time I went and I will never be going back again.

I think the line-up for 2009 was a fucking joke. 2010 had a few bands I wouldn't mind seeing, but this year is back to being fucking lame.

It's seriously the only show of the year when I will actually get mad when I get the email that it was announced. With all of the bands on this I bet if there was ever a time where I could actually like ATR this would be the time... Yet I don't hate my life that bad where I'd do that.
