Big Shot: The Ultimate Billy Joel Experience -- Jim Thorpe, PA -- March 12th, 2011
Posting this in here so as not to ignite the grand setlist debate again, as Billy Joel is obviously not metal in any way.
If any of you have ever seen this tribute band, Big Shot, you would know that they are INCREDIBLE. Easily the best tribute band to anything I've ever heard. The instrumentation from all players was spot on, and singer/piano player Michael Delguidice is absolutely astounding. Technically this was an amazing performance, but I could've done with a couple more songs. The band played for 2 hours and 10 minutes, which for a standard headlining slot was really good, but it was an "evening with" show, so it was over by like 10:20, which felt really weird. Also could've done without the random covers of OTHER artists. But oh well. Setlist: 01.The Entertainer 02.Zanzibar 03.Sometimes a Fantasy 04.Big Shot 05.It's Still Rock and Roll to Me 06.Movin' Out 07.Allentown 08.(Original Song) 09.New York State of Mind (w/ Extended Sax Solo) 10.Don't Ask Me Why 11.I Go to Extremes 12.Scenes From an Italian Restaurant 13.We Didn't Start the Fire (w/ Freebird Outro/Extended Guitar Solo) 14.Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin cover) w/ Drum Solo 15.Goodnight Saigon 16.(Original Song) 17.Miami 2017 18.Only the Good Die Young 19.You May Be Right Encore: 20.Tiny Dancer (Elton John cover) 21.Piano Man
