It would be a dream come true to hear that song performed live, just fuck paying $100 for it. I really really wanted to go to the show in LA but I can't afford that

From what I've heard, Clapton's been playing Layla acoustically on this tour. It's nice, but to me, the song is best when electric.
I saw Eric on the Clapton/Winwood tour. It still stands equal to Sleep as the greatest concert I've ever seen, for its perfect sound, extreme godliness of Clapton's playing, and the sheer level of intensity. (Seeing the two do Voodoo Chile was a religious experience) It's amazing how much crazier he is with his soloing now in his 60s than he was way back, dude's been letting loose like never before. Catch him now before he inevitably croaks.

I saw Clapton with Roger Daltrey and was not that impressed. He has great music, but live I was bored. Daltrey was awesome though. I also walked away feeling ripped off. Daltrey played for 45 min and Clapton for 80. Thats not worth $70, imo.

Now I can handle Aerosmith and AC/DC setlists but come on, Eric Clapton?

Quote:
They played about half of the Blind Faith album if I remember right. The rest were split between Clapton and Winwood solo songs.

The most overrated guitarist ever, I only like his Cream period.
