RUMOUR: Original ALICE COOPER band members returning?

It's already been confirmed that Alice Cooper has finished work on his next album, a sequel to 'Welcome to My Nightmare', with original producer Bob Ezrin. And that some (not all) of the tracks include performances by original band members Neal Smith (drums), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Michael Bruce (guitar).

Now strong rumours suggest that Jimmy DeGrasso and Keri Kelli are no longer in the band, leading to speculation that Neal Smith and Michael Bruce will return to the band full time.

Personally, I hope not. Coop has benefitted from the heavier sound the newer band line-ups have given him, so I don't want to see him go backwards in that sense.

I wouldn't be suprised, asside from being inducted into the RnR HOF the original band(well, those still alive) are performing at the Golden Gods awards

I think Alice would be very silly to break up the Johnson/Kelli/Garrick/Singer band. DeGrasso wasn't permanent anyway, he was just sitting in for Singer when he was on the KISS tour. And Johnson was occasionally replaced by Jason Hook when he wasn't available, but otherwise I think the current line-up is the strongest and tightest he's had for a while.

I think it's an "unfinished business" kind of deal, especially when his original band is finally being inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame

I'd love to see Cooper live with the original members. Dennis Dunnaway is one of my main influences as a bassist. No other Cooper bassist has played those songs as good as him.

They would be good to see live if they did the pre-welcome to my nightmare stuff. I dont really want to see them do anything from nightmare on, it wouldnt feel right.
