Yes it is very mainstream but i honestly really like these albums.

Yes i know very commercial but good in my opinion

Don't suffer the wrath of the Iron Maiden fans. Which is pretty much everyone on this site! Yes, this list is mainstream. I'll give you a couple years, maybe you'll branch out your musical tastes a bit and hear some of the greats you missed, like Enslaved, Agalloch, or Ihsahn. It was a great year for metal overall!
