Metallica -- Denver, CO -- March 31st, 2004

With the Big 4 two months away I figured I'd share my experiences seeing the Big 4 bands from here til April 23rd; I've already reviewed the American Carnage tour and I haven't seen Anthrax before so it won't be too much I promise

Anyway this show was my senior year in high school and Metallica was on their Madly in Anger with the World Tour; this was the first tour where Metallica switched up their setlists each night so aside from the staples I wasn't sure what to expect which is awesome

My dad and I arrived just in time for Godsmack; I'm not really into them as I was 7 years ago but I still play their tunes once in a while; never the less I was pumped for a real opening band; They rocked the place and the highlight was Sully and the Drummer battle

1. Awake
2. Straight Out of Line
3. Re-Align
4. Moon Baby
5. Keep Away
6. Voodoo
7.Batalla de los Tambores (drum battle)
8. Whatever
9. I Stand Alone

Metallica came out later and destroyed the place; I will say as much as I dislike the St. Anger album I think most of the songs do well live

1. Blackened
2. Fuel
3. The Four Horsemen
4. Fade to Black
5. Frantic
6. Dirty Window
7. I Disappear
8. St. Anger
9. Sad But True
10. Creeping Death
11. Battery
----------
12. No Leaf Clover
13. Nothing Else Matters
14. Master of Puppets
15. One
16. Enter Sandman
-----------
17. Die, Die My Darling
18. Stone Cold Crazy

Highlights were Blackened opening the show, my first Fade to Black, Dirty Window, Creeping Death (some dunk dude was egging my dad to say DIE DIE during that part, fucking priceless) No Leaf Clover and One

Overall a great show my only compliant was I felt their stage setup was too clunky and slight lines of the band were kinda hard to see for a "in the round" set up; luckly they cleaned it up for the World Magnetic tour, and I will share 2 shows from that later on

Godmack 9/10
Metallica 9.5/10

Very nice setlist much better than the one I got in 2008, the 'DIE DIE DIE' with your dad sounds hilarious :')

It's really not decent. Everything you didn't bold I'd remove.

Take out Dirty Window for Harvester Of Sorrow and that's the set I saw on this tour in St. Paul, MN.

It was a great show, even with Godsmack opening. The Drum Battle was badass regardless of the rest of the set.
