Malevolent Creation -- Milford, CT -- February 15th, 2011
A solid show at a small venue in Southern CT. Crowd was small, probably 70 people by the time MC played, but the bands gave it their all. Full Blown Chaos was the main opening band. They were solid as always. I can find out their setlist if anyone is curious, can't remember it off the top of my head. Got to share a couple beers w/ Brett Hoffman of Malevolent creation. A very cool, friendly guy. I was also able to film MC + FBC w/ permission. I'll have some YouTube clips up soon. Here was Malevolent Creation's setlist:
1) Eve of the Apocalypse 2) Manic Demise 3) Injected Suffrage 4) Blood Brothers 5) United Hate 6) To Die is at Hand 7) Slaughterhouse 8) Infernal Desire 9) Living In Fear 10) Target Rich Environment 11) Malevolent Creation Mostly standard stuff, but they threw in a couple they don't always play. I was a little disappointed, as they were the headliner and played less than an hour. But for a $12 ticket, I can't complain. I also hit the Albany show the next night. I was suprised to see they switched up a couple songs. Can't remember it all, I'll go back and review the tape and post it.

I'm not a big Malevolent fan, but they kill live. It's nice to see Target Rich Environment in the set, that was one of my favorites from the new album.

I still don't understand why this show is skipping the Los Angeles area

Havok wasn't bad. Liked their music, just not a fan of the higher-pitched thrash vocals. Guitar players were pretty talented I thought.

Indeed, their studio catalogue is very hit and miss but they are absolutely amazing live.

You're right. Brett sounded amazing. He pulls off some incredible screams. Check out Malevolent Creation below to see what I mean. Not the best footage, but hte lighting in hte place sucked.
