I know, right?

But seriously, how would NYC or Boston even make sense? If they were at the beginning or ending of the route, sure... but are they seriously going to fly from California to the East Coast, play one or two dates over here, and then fly back to play more shows in CA?

I think once they see how popular their reunion is here and in Europe they will do more either in the fall or early 2012; the SOAD reunion has been the most hyped and most wanted renunion of any band that I am aware of in the past 5 years or so;

plus I would think they would be rusty after 5 years of not playing SOAD material and getting comfortable playing with each other; I'd rather seem them when they are a little more fine tuned, imo

I think SoaD will play Ozzfest this year. Its the only explanation for no Chicago or Detroit dates. There must be another tour preventing them for playing those markets which would bring them big time $ on their own.

Is ozzfest even happening this year? But anyways that would make plenty of sense.

Here is a post I made taking a indepth look at SoaD playing on Ozzfest this year: http://vdob.blogspot.com/2011/02/sys...1-perfect.html

I think with the Big 4 being reduced to one show combined with the confirmation a Sabbath reunion not being likely this year that there will be at least an attempt of doing an Ozzfest. There are several quality bands that could make for an interesting event. I assume it will be held in the same 6 cities at the same time of year as last year.

I think Ozzfest is going to be

Ozzy Osbourne
System Of A Down
Tool
Maybe Slipknot
Rammstein
And hopefully one of the big 4 bands I'd like Slayer there
