The vocalist on the Long Distance Calling song is John Bush. Pretty good song, actually.

new Trap Them is really good. Hasn't hit me the same way Seizures did but regardless it rules pretty hard.

anyone been to FYE recently? I thought I saw in Decibel an ad for a "buy 1 metal cd get 1 metal cd free" sale going on this month, but I can't find anything about it online. If it is only this month, though, I gotta get my ass there tomorrow. Probably gonna pick up the new Crowbar and Deicide. Devildriver sounded good from the previews I heard, and the few new Destruction songs I've heard are great. who knows what I'll get?

Just got done listening to the new Scale The Summit and I'm Turisas.

STS's new one is a very dark album. It feels so much darker then Carving Desert Canyons and Monuments. It's cool in a way because it's adding a new side to the band. I'm definitely digging it so far.

Turisas: I am very Underwhelmed. I didn't thin k I would every say this about any Folk/Power Metal album, but it's too Symphonic. Seeing these songs live is going to suck without the full orchestra behind them because all the power will either be gone, or played through PA speakers, which isn't cool. At times it is very Turisas, and other times it sounds like Cradle of Filth without the shitty vocals. I guess I was hoping for a bit more. It's not bad in any way, just underwhelming.

Yep.

Altar of Plagues comes damn close though as far as what I've heard. No comment yet on Fen, Burzum, Lifelover or Deafheaven though, which I have high expectations for all of when I get around to hearing them.
