Agonist is the best band on that bill.

There, I said it.

Hmm the MN show got moved from First Avenue in 2010, to Station 4 in 2011. I guess I don't have an excuse not to go.

I'll go. I'm a KAMELOT fan, not a Khan fan. I like the band as a whole. Yeah, Khan's voice is an important part of that, but it's not the only part. I don't think Fabio's a particularly good fit, but I'll still go.

I'd have preferred a better female fronted main band for main support (ReVamp, damnit!), but I like old Tristania. Widow's Weeds is a good album.

If it's not a website messup, it's interesting to see how the lack of Khan apparently effects the band's drawing power THAT much. With Khan, Kamelot was booked to play downstairs at the Palladium (roughly 2,000 capacity). Without, they're booked to play upstairs (a few hundred cap).

Oh awesome! Blackguard! They haven't played here in so long, maybe a week?

Yeah, the first thing I noticed when the first two dates were released was how the NYC venue was downgraded from being at the Nokia to the Gramercy.

I'm going, too - I'd have preferred a different male vocalist (like Eriksen (who if given more than three days to rehearse in September probably would have slayed had the tour taken place) or Karevik), but it'll be interesting to see how Fabio handles the songs. Also, Tristania have HUGE nostalgia value for me, even if they sound completely different now. I'm pretty excited for this.

If there is one band I loath it's The Agonist. I've had to sit through them twice live and they have yet to have me even tap my toe to their so-called-musical-filth. Their singer is a 2nd rate hack who has no stage presence at all and looks incredibly bored while up there. If she isn't doing Goth-Girl Robot moves in her huge boots and Hot Topic cataloged attire she is either off stage or checking her in-ears, because like me she can hear that the band is sucking hard.

I have heard that the band as a whole are assholes and too consumed in texting and not caring about their "fans" or admires, more so the singer.

If you are gonna be a girl singer in Extreme Metal, for the love of god, go all balls out and leave everything you have on the stage. And their fan wonder why Arch Enemy is the golden standard...

No Khan (or particularly exciting replacement), 3 bleh opening bands, and likely expensive tickets.... I seriously doubt I'll go.
