Capitalist Casualties -- Boyle Heights, CA -- January 24th, 2011

The show was at the Blvd and the line up was:
Capitalist Casualties
Flagitatious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation
Bloody Pheonix
Maggot Colony
SMD
ACxDC

I showed up to Boyle Heights with my friend around 730, we kicked it outside till a little after 8 finishing off a case of Blue Moon. When we went inside, we found out ACxDC had already played and SMD was in the middle of their set. No big loss to me. I wanted to see ACxDC but I saw them a week ago. SMD are always cool to see. They played for 20 minutes or so. Maggot Colony and Bloody Pheonix followed. Both played awesome 20 minute sets. The crowd began to get a little rowdy during the two sets. FIITD was up next and they were so fucking awesome! Besides the guitarist, its a grindcore band from Japan full of girls who know how to fucking grind! The crowd went crazy for them. They played for a good 30 minutes. Shortly after FIITD finished, everyone packed up in the front of the Blvd, waiting for CC to go on. Right when the first note was played, the Blvd erupted into a non stop frenzy of violence and fun! I have never seen such an awesome pit in there before. I had so much fun. My friend picked up a setlist and text me what they played.

I forgot to mention that I have been waiting since 2004 to see these guys live. I know there has been at 3 shows in my area since then, but I was never able to make it. The wait made this show even better for me.

Oh how far the mighty AC/DC has fallen to be opening up an indie grindcore show such as this...

Ok good. I sensed the sarcasm haha. That would have been funny if AC/DC did open for this line up haha
