The Contortionist Canada Tour

According to Blabbermouth:

"Indianapolis, Indiana's THE CONTORTIONIST has just added brand new tour dates with WITHIN THE RUINS, SUFFOKATE and LAST CHANCE TO REASON to its winter touring schedule. The trek will take the bands through Canada this February into March.

THE CONTORTIONIST released its debut full-length, "Exoplanet", on August 31, 2010 through Good Fight Music, and has been touring consistently since. The band's infectious, progressive and rhythmic sounds has brought it comparisons to some of today's metal greats, such as MESHUGGAH, THE ACACIA STRAIN and BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME.

THE CONTORTIONIST tour dates with WITHIN THE RUINS, SUFFOKATE and LAST CHANCE TO REASON:

Feb. 17 - Ottawa ON @ Alexander CC
Feb. 18 - Kingston ON @ Next Hall Church
Feb. 20 - Otobicoke ON @ The Rock Pile
Feb. 21 - Guelph ON @ Club Vinyl
Feb. 22 - Windsor ON @ The Blind Dog
Feb. 23 - Barrie ON @ The Mansion
Feb. 24 - Brantford ON @ Club NV
Feb. 25 - Sudbury ON @ Jubilee
Feb. 26 - Thunder Bay ON @ Croc's
Feb. 27 - Winnipeg MB @ [to be announced]
Feb. 28 - Fort Qu'Appelle SK @ [to be announced]
Mar. 01 - Saskatoon SK @ Walkers Nightclub
Mar. 02 - Edmonton AB @ Avenue Theater
Mar. 03 - Lethbridge AB @ The Royal Canadian Legion
Mar. 04 - Calgary AB @ The New Black Art Center (no LAST CHANCE TO REASON)
Mar. 05 - Vancouver BC @ Pats (no LAST CHANCE TO REASON)

"Exoplanet" was produced by UNEARTH guitarist Ken Susi."

Lucky Canadians! I've been diggin' Exoplanet so much lately. Hopefully we get some US dates?!?

Last Chance to Reason is a badass band. I haven't heard of the rest of the lineup.

Within the ruins are a great progressive metalcore-esque band. think of a more straight forward Between the Buried and Me.

I'll have to check them out. They'd probably be right up my alley.

Isn't Within the Ruins *technically* a more popular band? I like the Contortionist a lot more IMO.

Well, considering I am from Ireland, and myself and one of my friends managed to hear of these guys through various musings online faster than any of the other bands on that line up, so i would say Within The Ruins are a more popular band.
