True story: If Load was like 3 or 4 specific tracks shorter, it would be one of my favorite Metallica albums. It has a couple of my favorite Metallica songs on it. Yes, I know, I'm weird.

fixed. King Nothing might be the most overrated Metallica song I've ever heard. It's ok musically but lyrically it's 7th grade material to me. Where's your crown? Who cares? Ask me 12 more times and I still won't answer you. hahaha

Bleeding Me has to be one of my favorite Metallica songs. Outlaw Torn is almost as awesome too. I think it's just a great rock album and it's oubvious they were listening to stuff like Kyuss and COC at the time. I agree it's a little long though.

Part of my love for it though has to come from the fact that I was like 14 at the time and was the first 'new' Metallica album that I was really looking forward to as they were my favorite band. It was before the internet and I didn't read opinions of how shitty it was a month before I even heard it, remember staying up to hear them broadcast the whole thing on the radio and recording it to cassette before buying the CD the following tuesday.

I was very dissapointed by Reload though lol.

Basically this. I rarely listen to it now, but when it first came out I loved it. I remember taking the bus to the mall right after school with a buddy of mine and we both bought the CD the day it came out. Ah, the days before the internet were great, kids could actually form an opinion for themselves rather than listen to what some elitist turd sitting around in a homemade Cheetos-stained Burzum t-shirt halfway across the country thinks.
