Quite surprised to see this last on anyone's. The title track is one of my favorite Agalloch songs, and the Kneel to the Cross cover is brilliant. What gives, Brobespierre?

Love their whole catalogue including that EP, but something had to come last lol. I didn't include From Which Of This Oak cuz I think it's too different from what they did after, and the other EP's are too short.

4) Every song is very good - that's 11 very good songs, more than any other Maiden album can boast.

There are others, but I'm tired/brain-zapped.
I don't see anything wrong with DoD being your second favorite. It usually rotates around somewhere in my top five. It's a great album and I love the atmosphere on tracks like No More Lies, Paschendale, Dance of Death, and Face in the Sand. Too bad it's got the worst album opener in Iron Maiden history.

Definitely can't agree to that.

In all honesty I think Satellite 15/The Final Frontier may take this cake. It DEFINITELY gets my nomination if we're talking about how I favor the opener compared to the rest of the album.

Wildest Dreams is easily better than Different World, Tailgunner, and The Final Frontier, and you might be able to sell me on a couple others.

Anyway, here's my first stab at a Blind Guardian ranking:

1. Nightfall in Middle-Earth
2. At the Edge of Time
3. Imaginations from the Other Side
4. Somewhere Far Beyond
5. Tales from the Twilight World
6. Follow the Blind
7. A Twist in the Myth
8. A Night at the Opera
9. Battalions of Fear
