RIP Prince Rogers Nelson

Found dead at the age of 57.

Go on, party like it's 1999.

Fucking shit, no fucking way...

Prince is one of my all time favorites. Purple Rain, 1999, Sign O the Times, Controversy, Love Symbol Album, Lovesexy, Dirty Mind, all absolute classics. I'll never forget when I saw him play a 3 hour show in Toronto 5 years back, was one of the best concerts I have ever seen.

R.I.P. Prince, one of the best that ever lived.

The last pop artist who not only used real instruments in his music, but could play ALL of the instruments in his music. (Yes, there's Bruno Mars, but he's going into the more electronic based stuff now)

This really, really sucks.

R.I.P.

Okay, with Chyna and Prince going on the same day I'm going to finally chime in on this: 2016 fucking sucks and the next seven and a half months can't end soon enough.

First (non radio) song I ever heard was Pussy Control. I had no idea what the hell I heard but it was still unlike any pop music I ever heard before.

He was also my favorite SB halftime show. I honestly had no idea he could shred on guitar like that. Not a whole lot of "artists" left. He was once in a lifetime talent.

I'll jump in to add my $.02

Prince was the shit to this dork growing up in the 80's. I was always a metalhead, but when he got the hot chic, drove the motorcycle, and shredded the guitar in Purple Rain... he was like a god.

He wasn't just a brilliant guitar player, he was a musical genius. Total prodigy. He played all 27 instruments in the studio for his first album...every single one. He did the same thing for his side project "The Time" except he added all the backup vocals as well. He continued this for his first five albums playing almost all the instruments himself. I believe Purple Rain was the first album he let his touring musicians help record...The Revolution.

Prince has always been my wife's favorite artist too. She has kept a large chunk of his music on her playlist for years. My wife is crushed.... almost as a friend has died. Maybe in a sense Prince was.

Music has a way of helping us get through rough times in our lives. Without sharing too much personal info., Prince and his music got my wife pass tons of shit. It's like a part of her youth is forever gone. She's genuinely heart broken. Sucks

RIP, they broke the mold.... won't be another like him.
