ALICE COOPER gets into the Hall

Alice: "Getting in the Hall of Fame is about the ultimate thing you can do when you're a garage band from Cortez High in Phoenix. It's the most humbling thing in the world when you realize who else is in there. You look out at the audience, and every guy who influenced you is sitting there, and they are the people who voted on you."

He'll be inducted with the original band of Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Glenn Buxton.

Beat me to it. I was just gonna post this

Alice Cooper is one of my all time favorites and one of the first hard rock artists I got into way back when Constrictor came out. I know the hall lacks credibility with a lot of people including myself, but Alice getting in gives it a little bit in my eyes.

Congrats to Alice Cooper. It's long overdue but he got in

Now all that's left is to get Rush in there.

Never been a big fan of Alice... just don't get the appeal. However, I understand a lot of people do and his influence is far-reaching. Kudos to him.

Oh, and agreed on Rush. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!!

Winners announced tomorrow. Here's the other nominees:

BON JOVI, BEASTIE BOYS, CHIC, Donovan, J GEILS BAND, LL Cool J, Laura Nyro, Donna Summer, Joe Tex and Chuck Willis.

I SAY:

Alice Cooper
Donna Summer
LL Cool J

And then two that I've never heard. As much as I want Beastie Boys to get in, I just don't think they will.

Awesome!

Let's get Maiden, Rush, and Dio in there next.

Did Tom Waits get in? I thought he was up for it. Where do these announcements appear?
