This I got within the first 5 albums I ever had right at the begining when I was 12 years old. I thought that I would have to say that it deserves it's 89 th place because it was such a important record for me back then. It's true but after listening to it in it's entirety for the first time in ages I trully stand by it. A great hard rock album. I saw them once for Hysteria and they pretty much died after that to me but I still love this album a lot.

Cheers !

I could've written the exact same review -- one of the first few albums I bought around age 12, was my favorite record for a good while, I saw them on the Hysteria tour and then shunned them shortly thereafter, except for this record, which is still a guilty pleasure.

Track Listing

1. Buried Dreams
2. Carnal Forge
3. No Love Lust
4. Heartwork
5. Embodiment
6. This Mortal Coil
7. Arbeit Macht Fleisch
8. Blind Bleeding The Blind
9. Doctrinal Expletives
10. Death Certificate

The moment I got a hand on this, I loved it right away. From start to finish, there's everything I love about a great metal cd. Speed, time changes that makes you fall off your chair, awesome solos & riffage. Vocals that seems to come from a grave. I still play it once in a while. I don't have any other Carcass album, I assume it's their best ?

Cheers !

It's good but I think their best is Necroticism.

Track Listing

1. Holy Wars… The Punishment Due
2. Hangar 18
3. Take No Prisoner
4. Five Magics
5. Poison Was The Cure
6. Lucretia
7. Tornado Of Souls
8. Dawn Patrol
9. Rust In Peace… Polaris

I got this maybe 10 years ago in full, I had Hangar, Holy Wars and Tornado somewhere so I guess it was enough for me. A lot of people would think this is their absolute best. I don't. Fucking amazing record but mostly for the 3 songs I've mentionned before. 3 fucking atomic bomb ! The rest is a really good addition don't get me wrong. What a talented composer & great guitar player that Mustaine. WOW !

All you Deth lovers, don't worry, they have a few more down the list...

Cheers !

I was a big fan of them until 1986' Possessed wich was a bit of a let down from these black metal legends. So from 1986 up until this album in 2006 I was only listening to those first 5 glory years. But when a friend of mine gave me this to listen to I almost felt out of my chair. Back in the classic Venom again, but with some harminies at times and still with this awesome groove. I thought, Fuck Yeah, Venom Is Back !!!

Cheers !

1997

Track Listing

1. Freak
2. Toltec 7 Arrival
3. Starchildren
4. Taking The Queen
5. Darkside Of Aquarius
6. Road To Hell
7. Man Of Sorrows
8. Accident Of Birth
9. The Magician
10. Welcome To The Pit
11. The Ghoast Of Cain
12. Omega
13. Arc Of Space

When this came out in 1997 I was fucking blown away by the heavyness of the guitars, this is how Maiden should sound like ... well they came pretty close on a few records afterwards when Brucey and H came back but that is another story... I really liked (and still do) that album. Every musicians is dead on and you go from pure heavyness to more smooth and emotional songs (Man Of Sorrow-Omega) all of witch are brillantly done.If my list would start from 150 instead of 101, Chemical Wedding would be on it too. But this solo offering by the Air Raid Siren is his best imho.

Cheers !

I honestly consider Accident of Birth to be Bruce's best vocal performance. Incredible album. I prefer it to every Maiden record except 3.

Wow ! I wouldn't go that far but he really does sound fucking amazing, his voice is rich, powerfull and really he doesn't seem to push it too much like on the last few Maiden records. Plus you can feel his anger almost like you would see the drool each side of his mouth.

Cheers !
