Blind Guardian -- Winnipeg, Manitoba -- December 1st, 2010
1. War of Wrath
2. Into the Storm 3. Welcome to Dying 4. Born In a Mourning Hall 5. Nightfall 6. Fly 7. Time Stands Still 8. Banish From Sanctuary 9. Bright Eyes 10. Lord of the Rings 11. Voice in the Dark 12. And the Story Ends ---- 13. Wheel of Time 14. The Bard's Song (In the Forest) 15. Valhalla 16. Mirror Mirror Great show, BUT...I had seen that they performed And Then There Was Silence previously on this tour. Crushed isn't the word to describe how I felt when I heard they were finishing with And the Story Ends. They could have thrown a dart at their discography and come up with a better finisher than this mid-tempo snoozer. Luckily Wheel of Time snapped me back; those last 4 are a hell of an encore. And I could watch Andre play guitar all night...which is kinda what I did. |

And the Story Ends is a pretty weak main set closer imo. Cool that they did Into the Storm again

I don't know how anyone can complain about any BG setlist ever!

Interesting that they opened again with Into The Storm. Was there time constraints at this show too? Sucks that Sacred Worlds was dropped, but great set nonetheless. 'And The Story Ends' is a great song, but I can see how you'd prefer something... Different as a main set closer. I'd personally love it though :p.

If this had Sacred in it, it would absolutely be my favorite of the tour thus far. And the Story Ends = fucking amazing.

some will probably disagree with me, but i really hope they keep War of Wrath/Into The Storm as the opener for the rest of the tour. Into The Storm should be a staple imo.

Mirror Mirror, Nightfall, Imaginations, and The Bard's Song, are IMO the only songs BG should play all the time. They do a good job of rotating so I don't wanna bitch up a storm here, but I definitely think less staples would help. Then again, they did do that for Europe. But like most bands, they (rightfully) assume the US is full of whiny fans who only want the same songs over and over again - which is why this set wound up looking FREAKISHLY like the 2006 set, with new songs in it. |

Great set. And the Story Ends is imo a better song than ATTWS. ATTWS is ok but there are about a dozen other BG songs I like more and considering its length you can get two great songs for the price of that one. At least BG is changing their set every night, something I can't say for some other bands. I don't think they have had a duplicate set so far this tour.
