I rated Taylor over a lot of what I've been told are good releases year. That's only because the style of a lot of those releases doesn't interest me. To clarify, let's use the new Enslaved, Watain, Triptykon, and Atheist. I haven't listened to any of those because their style doesn't hold my interest even though it did a couple of years ago. Despite that, I'm sure they're all much "better" than TS. I just don't have a want to listen to death/black metal like I used to therefore I can't put them on my top 10 because while they might be strong albums to most, I simply don't enjoy them although I do respect them.

But yes, I hated Deftones. I went with four other rock fans of various ages (like 15 to 50) who each have a different range of favorite bands and preferred styles. Each of us thought the Deftones were a joke. My best friend even went in liking a few Deftones songs and came out hating the band. From what I've heard Diamond Eyes is their best release so far but it's still a turd.

Also, TV performances are always bad. But I don't know what she sounds like out of the studio so it may just be that she sucks in any live setting. Quite possible.
