I am not 100% certain about any bands on Mayhem Fest yet. I have a contact who is involved with an aspect of ROTR and those were a few of the bands he was told about that he decided to share with me. Of course that is not official by any means.

I think SOAD on Mayhem makes sense and cents for all involved. If they do not play it would be a suprise to me. Then again, unless Mayhem offered it to them, it is possible they had the headliners signed before they knew SOAD was back. I hope to find out more soon.

I hope SOAD plays the Canadian ROTR. I will be at that one.

With Slipknot returning it would not be a big suprise to see them on ROTR as a warm up show before they go to Europe... IMO.

If Foo Fighters headline a day at ROTR I will be there.

And I disagree about the whole "They make good songs but not good albums" thing. The Colour and the Shape is an excellent album, and In Your Honor is a great double album that really showcases both the electric and acoustic side of the band. I'm happy they're still around making music.

ROTR is a pretty awesome festival. I could care less about Foo Fighters, but SOAD would be an AMAZING headliner. Now tell me who is on the side stages; thats all I care about! Mastodon was awesome last time around.

to those asking about the timing. ROTR 2011 is may 20-22 2011 and will actually be 3 days this year with friday night being a preshow party, with those who have two day passes admitted to this party.

Aw, fuck me. I hate A7X. Chevelle isn't that bad though. Reminds me of Tool. Seriously though, Tool would make an AWESOME fucking headliner for ROTR.
