not going to spend too much time on my list because i don't see it as that big of a deal, but i'm sure Deftones, Veil of Maya, Four Year Strong, and The Ghost Inside are on it. pretty sure Kalmah and Heathen are gonna be on it too.

Heathen won't count, sadly. It was released somewhere in 2009.

And therefore anything that came out somewhere last year belong in last year.

As someone else said, this comes up every year, and every year the answer is the same, if it come out ANYWHERE in 2009 then it's a 2009 album.

I'm annoyed about it too, by the way. Heathen would make my list. But it's last year's album.

I had the same issue the year I wanted to include Tarot's Crows Fly Black. It came out in the January in most of Europe, but they'd released it in Finland late the year before.

Very cool. I listen to all types of music and great music is great music. If you had told me last year that Deftones would release the best cd I heard in 2010 I would have laughed since I hated their last cd. If you also told me a black metal jazz cd would be in my top 10 I would have though you were smoking crack. Or how I would randomly hear the 3rd part of a black metal trilogy with saxophones and love it so much I had to buy the other 2 cd's. Funny how that happens...

Not sure about the rules but if no one voting actually heard Heathen in 2009 and couldn't vote on it for last years poll, it should be eligible. Just my take...
