Holy. Shit. THAT WAS AWESOME! Beautiful, also. Their song structure is superb. I also read andrew_metalhead's concert review of them earlier this year (http://metalassault.com/Live_Reviews...0_Immortal.php) and they sound CRAZY live. Pretty sure I'm definitely going to this concert now.
I know you'll love At the Heart of Winter. It was the first black metal album I ever got, and it converted me

I'd pay $35 to see that in person.

Except there's not a whole lot of that, but way more of this:

Of course you would.

Anyways, good call jd091 with SOND. Easily Immortal's best album. ATHOW is a great second choice, but you should know it doesn't have as much variety as SOND. You'll see what I mean when you hear it. Pure Holocaust is also worth getting, but be forewarned, it is VERY VERY different from 00's Immortal. Very lo-fi. Then again, it's no more lo-fi than In The Nightside Eclipse, so you'll probably love it.

I'll agree with all of this, but I honestly believe that there are no bad Immortal albums. It's just that they were so fucking good then so fucking average...then good again.
