anyone interested in going to see Epica?

Hey all,
I'm really wanting to go to the epica concert at Peabody's in cleveland on nov. 24. However, have no one to go with. Anyone interested in going with me?
if so feel free to write here or message me.

Thanks for your time,

J.

Maybe this should be the part where I mention that I can't see? Maybe then you would realize how much of an ass that just made you look, and why I'm laughing at you now.

Yeah man, blind, can't drive? Not gonna happen going alone.
I have not mentioned it on the open forum before because I didn't think it was necessary. It didn't affect how I interacted with everyone here. Maybe I should have mentioned it in my first post in this thread, however. I just figured I would discuss that fact with anyone if they responded.

How does making what is actually a 100% valid comment in light of not knowing you're blind make me look like an ass? Sorry, fail.

If I'd known, then fine. Without that knowledge, it was valid, just as all valid statements are until some opposing reasoning is presented. Now there is some, so fair enough.

How far is the show? Taxi not an option? Or train? I don't drive either. Obviously I don't have the sight problem, but if I really want to go to a show, and I can't get there and back on the train in an evening, because it will finish too late and the trains will have stopped running or something, then I just get a cheap hotel and come back in the morning.

Obviously that kind of option will depend on how much that will cost, given that I assume you would then need to get local taxis from station to hotel to gig to hotel to station? Cost vs how desperate you are to see the show, I suppose. What I'm saying is there are ways around it if you really want to go and you don't have a driver.

Agreed, it wasn't. And it wouldn't have even crossed my mind because to be honest this is how things like blindness are treated here. We don't consider things like that to be "show stoppers" here, I have to say. The inclusion of blind, deaf and disabled people etc. has become pretty ingrained now. Although I appreciate the arrangements necessary can some be more awkward/complicated, it actually doesn't stop people doing things like going to shows.

Hope you make it (although having seen them twice, they're not that great... this all sounds like too much effort for Epica to me )

It wasn't just the driving that was the issue, it was getting around the venue and such. Concerts tend to be loud and crowded. Which would make my getting around it as an unfamiliar environment pretty difficult.

Thanks for the feedback... I figured it was valid to call you an ass for calling me a pussy.

Damn, I thought inability to see would be a dealbreaker in tolerating Epica.
