Favorite band logos?
As far as I know we haven't had this thread, could be kinda fun. What makes a great band logo? I think it has to not just be awesome but reflect the music that it's attached to. And it doesn't hurt if I'm compelled to draw it in the margins of my notes during particularly boring lectures.
 Here's a few of my faves: By far the best black metal logo. Legible yet crusty and evil.  The only "let's throw a bunch of shit on the letters in our logo" logo that looks good.  The perfection of the highly angular style.  That skull!  The most elegant logo ever.  A close second to Opeth in elegance.

Ooh, good call on those old ATG and Carcass logos, I love those too.
 And manks, that Revenge logo is sick, I hadn't seen it before.
