James LaBrie- Static Impulse

Seriously guys, give this album a chance.

I know James LaBrie catches a lot of shit because of his vocals, but Static Impulse is seriously his best album.

The album is a great mixture of Progressive Metal, and Swedish Melodic Death metal, yes you read that right!. It features Peter Wildoer, drummer of Darkane, doing the screaming vocals.

Not every song features screaming vocals, the last track, the ballad, Coming Home is a very beautiful song. But the Metal songs on this album are simply top-notch. I guess you could say Dream Theater meets mid-era Soilwork.

Check this one out. it's definitely worth it.

I heard one song and it sucked. James vocals and screaming vocals do not go well together.

Dude, I hate growling but One More Time is still a good song. That's probably the most growling on one song on the whole disc, but the song still has a fuckton of melody in it, which is why I can still really enjoy it.
