Not driving is fine if you live in the city (and thus can lean on public transportation) - but if you live in the suburbs or even more rural areas, you really shouldn't be expecting to get by without a driver's license once you're an adult.

I don't live in the city. I don't even live in the suburbs. Still don't need to drive.

Different in Europe - if youre not in a city, gotta be able to drive here.
