OzzFest 2010 -- Tinley Park, IL -- August 17th, 2010
Tour: OzzFest 2010
Headliner: Ozzy Osbourne Support: Motley Crue, Halford, DevilDriver, Nonpoint Venue: First Midwest Bank Amphitheater, Tinley Park, IL Date: August 17th, 2010 ========================================== Halford Set List: 01. Resurrection 02. Made In Hell 03. Locked & Loaded 04. Nailed To The Gun 05. Golgotha 06. Crystal 07. Drop Out 08. Made Of Metal 09. Cyberworld 10. Heart Of A Lion 11. Never Satisfied 12. Saviour Set Time: 6.40-7.32 Halford Lineup: Vocals: Rob Halford Guitars: Metal Mike Chlasciak Guitars: Roy Z Bass: Mike Davis Drums: Bobby Jarzombek Halford was one of the main reasons that I went to OzzFest this year and I was not disappointed. The set list was better live than it looks on paper. Golgotha and Crystal were excellent. Unfortunately, Rob’s microphone went out during part of Crystal. I have no idea what song they played after Crystal. I did not recognize it at all. I asked the guy next to me and he did not know what it was either. The new song, Made Of Metal, sounded good. Heart Of A Lion was cool and Never Satisfied was excellent. I was surprised that they were playing those two songs but they were great live. I hope they do a club tour because I would definitely like to see a longer set from these guys. Motley Crue Set List: 01. Kick Start My Heart 02. Wildside 03. Shout At The Devil 04. Saints Of Los Angeles 05. Looks That Kill 06. Live Wire 07. Don't Go Away Mad 08. Same Ol Situation 09. Home Sweet Home 10. Motherfucker Of The Year 11. 10 Seconds To Love 12. Primal Scream 13. Dr. Feelgood 14. Girls, Girls, Girls Set Time: 7.45-9.02 Motley Crue Lineup: Vocals: Vince Neil Guitar: Mick Mars Bass: Nikki Sixx Drums: Tommy Lee Motley Crue put on a solid show. No real surprises in the set list, although it was cool to see 10 Seconds To Love. They had a lot of pyro and fireworks just like they would for a headlining show. It was a fun set and the crowd was really into it. Ozzy Osbourne Set List: 01.Bark At The Moon 02. Let Me Hear You Scream 03. Mr. Crowley 04. I Don't Know 05. Fairies Wear Boots 06. Suicide Solution 07. Road To Nowhere 08. Shot In The Dark 09. Instrumental Jam (w/Drum Solo) 10. Iron Man 11. Fire In The Sky 12. I Don't Want to Change the World 13. Paranoid 14. Crazy Train Set Time: 9.15-10.55 Ozzy Osbourne Lineup: Vocals: Ozzy Osbourne Guitar: Gus G Bass: Blasko Drums: Tommy Clufetos Keyboards: Adam Wakeman I had not seen Ozzy solo since 1992 so I was glad to get another chance to see him. He has upgraded his crowd control equipment since then. It used to be just the occasional bucket of water thrown into the crowd. Now he has a pressurized water canon that is loaded with some kind of foam. For once I was glad to be in the 2nd row instead of on the rail. The guy in front of me took the brunt of the assault but I was still soaked for most of the set. I think he hit the crowd during 75% of the songs. It was funny at first, but I found it to be a little bit annoying as the barrage continued song after song. It was very difficult to watch Gus G shred the solos because of the distraction, cleanup, etc. Ozzy was also constantly drilling the security people as well. Since they had their backs to the stage they never saw it coming. It was fairly amusing, since they were even more soaked than we were. Overall, it was a good set list and a good show. It was cool to see Fairies Wear Boots, Shot In The Dark and Fire In The Sky. However, I was disappointed that they dropped Killer Of Giants. Gus G was great and the solos sounded good, even if I didn’t get to actually see him play most of them. It was kind of funny seeing Rob Zombie’s old rhythm section playing for Ozzy, but they sounded good as well. Hopefully, it won’t be another 18 years before I get to see Ozzy again. EDIT: Corrected the Halford set list. Song number 7 was Drop Out from the Metal God Essentials compilation, which I do not have.

Thanks for the in-depth review, set times and all. Makes me feel like a slacker with the reviews I've shared on here.

That BLS set is pretty disappointing. I get that Zakk's trying to showcase the new album, but that's a little much for such a short set, if you ask me. I personally would've cut out one of the new songs for either Bleed for Me, Graveyard Disciples, or Suicide Messiah.
