Yes, I went to see Creed. It was a great way to kill two birds with one stone: 1) Go to a concert with my girlfriend that she was genuinely interest in that I wouldn't hate, and 2) Finally see the first rock band I ever liked live. I admit I wasn't exactly dying to see Creed because I don't consider myself a fan anymore, but they were the first rock band I ever liked, from back when I was 11 years old, and due to me being too young to go to shows, then moving on musically/them breaking up, it never happened. So I was looking forward to finally checking it off my list, especially since the tickets were like dirt cheap for solid seats. We were like 10 rows back in the first seated section (there was a GA pit).

The sound was by far my biggest complaint about the show. I guess the fact that it was an amphitheater didn't help, but the sound was just bad. Drums sounded dull and flat, the bass was more presence than pitch, and the guitars were just buried and muddy for the first half dozen songs. Eventually they seemed to get things straightened out. Also, the setlist didn't seem all that well constructed, and what little momentum there was from that was killed off by the dead stop and minute-long pauses between every song. Nevertheless, the band was tight, Scott Stapp didn't sound too bad, and there was a lot of cool pyro and such. Overall, a pretty good show. I'm not upset I went though I wouldn't go again.

i think its time for a serious reply! lol not a bad setlist, i would have gone to this as well if it was near my area since it was so cheap.

I'm going to see them next Saturday. It was a flat $20 for a pit ticket, I figured why not get a ticket, they have some decent hits. Plus, Red is opening here, and I like them. How was Skillet? Unfortunately they're not playing my date
