Suffocation US Tour

New York based extreme metal legends SUFFOCATION will tour North America this fall with prog-deathsters THE FACELESS, deathcore merchants THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, tech-death meisters DECREPIT BIRTH, and Italy's brutal/symphonic/avante garde horde FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE. Dubbed "The Decibel Defiance Tour 2010", the trek is being sponsored by Decibel magazine and the Extreme Management Group. Exact cities and dates will be announced shortly.

Commented SUFFOCATION in a statement: "SUFFOCATION is excited that Nuclear Blast, Decibel magazine and Extreme Management Group have teamed up to deliver you the most heinous tour of the fall. This is one of the most brutal lineups for us ever, including THE FACELESS, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, DECREPIT BIRTH, and FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE. Through The Eyes Of The Dead is weak, everything else is awesome, especially Fleshgod Apocalypse.

This lineup makes all kinds of sense. I think there's probably death metal geeks out there who count all five of these among their favorite bands.

I don't really like any of them though, so skiiiiiiip.

so

like

have you even heard the faceless, decrepit birth, or fleshgod apocalypse.

because to just write them off as normal death metal means you are uninformed

Not writing them off or calling them normal death metal. Saying that they fit on this tour because it's a death metal tour and they're death metal bands. Saying that if I was really into death metal this would be an amazing show, even, precisely because everything on the bill is death metal but different takes on it. 'Sall.

I'll definitely go to this if it's near me. It's been a year since I last saw The Faceless and it's been 2 years since I last saw Suffocation so I pretty much need to go to this. None of the other bands really interest me though.

Suffocation were amazing when I saw them at Summer Slaughter last year, and its fucking awesome that they finally get a headlining tour. Fleshgod Apocalypse are one of the best up and coming death metal acts. I loved Oracles, and it will be interesting to see how they do on their first US tour. I've seen Decrepit Birth twice now, and they never fail to impress. The Faceless should be awesome too. Through the Eyes of the Dead are the arbitrary "core" band that were probably added to attract more people, but I do have to admit to them being one of the better and more talented deathcore acts.

I REALLY hope this comes near me.
