I'm all for posting setlists here, but honestly I think it's somewhat pointless just to pull up random sets from the internet and post them here. I think if you actually went to the show, and want to write a review and post the setlist, that's cool. But I think the truth is that not enough people here care enough just to see these random non metal setlists popping up everywhere all the time. It's just going to cause more trouble than good in the long run.
And of course Jethro Tull was allowed, they did win the first ever Metal Grammy

I've seen other people post sets of shows they didn't go to and you never said that to them.

If they're metal, it's okay. If it isn't metal, it should be moved.

But like I said, if you were at this concert and had something to say about it, I would be interested in reading it. I enjoy Neil Young a good bit.

I think what he's trying to say is, its cool if its non metal if you went to the show and actually bothered to write up a review with your experience, because some people like me actually enjoy reading the experiences people have even if they're not into the band necessarily. But he's saying if you didn't go and its non metal not enough people really care, if others cared enough they would go find it. I think an exception to this could be if someone specifically requested a set from some non-metal band, like they couldn't find one on their own. But otherwise not enough people really care. I clicked on this thread because I like Neal young a bit, and was expecting a review to go with it, you know what his concerts might be like now etc. To just find the set that I suppose I could have found on dimeadozen myself if I really cared. I mean that's why mank's review of Devo was acceptable, because they're not metal, but he actually went to the show and wrote up a neat review about the concert experience.

im all for non metal setlists and reviews on this site, but i think they should be in the General chat section.
i also think that there should be some rule about this, so that we can avoid this argument in the future. my mom likes neil diamond.. |
