I will catch up on some though. Some of the westerns for sure.
I had to see Casablanca for a class senior year of high school, didn't expect to like it and ended up loving it and dropping 60 bucks on the uber-deluxe multi-disc edition that came with a passport carrier. It may defy your expectations.

I don't like them. I'm confused as to why people do, not as to why they are on the list, assuming it's based on popularity. Schindler's List is the worst "best movie of all time" I have ever seen. It wouldn't be terrible without the hype behind it but it was really fucking disappointing. Steven Spielberg should have stopped at Jaws.
And Stat Wars is fun, but they aren't great films.

The first 2 are, without a doubt, and not including my bias.
And maybe the third shouldn't but it might be my favorite, mostly because of this.

If it's any consolation I think The Shawshank Redemption, 12 Angry Men, Godfather 1 &2, Pulp Fiction, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Casablanca, Goodfellas, Lord of the Rings, Memento, Apocalypse Now, American History X, A Clockwork Orange, The Departed, Reservoir Dogs, Inglorious Basterds, Full Metal Jacket, Jaws, No Country for Old Men, Fargo, Dog Day Afternoon, V for Vendetta, In Bruges and Shaun of the Dead are all great.

FYI for everyone complaining about the list/movies on the list, for each blog entry I'm doing "The Good, The Bad, and The Skinny", the third of which sees me deciding if I think the movie should be in the Top 250 at all. So, y'know, it's not blind faith in the list that has me doing this project.

1) Cool idea. I don't have the patience to watch old movies (coz I'm lame.)
2) I would imagine that there will be days you see movies in the theater or watch a DVD that isn't on the list. You should do an "Off Day Review" of those if they aren't on the list, and your thoughts on if they should be.
3) If you actually do this, it would be a good career piece. Get your name out there and have a massive blog to show off your writing skills.

Good job dude.
