Again, I'm not trying to validate or invalidate the list. I'm just saying that at the very least, these are 250 movies that thousands of people - people who bother to get on the internet to talk about movies, no less - have a very high opinion of. That's reason enough to give them all a watch and a day's worth of discussion. 'Sall I'm saying.

This is an awesome idea man. As a movie fanatic I have been meaning to something along the lines of this for a long time. The IMDB Top 250 is a hell of an obstacle to tackle but it seems like it would be amazing to watch all 250 and see what you think of each films that is considered by people all over the internet to be the finest of all time. I myself have only seen 92 of the Top 250 and that is a kind of a sad number for someone that watches as many movies as me. I can not wait to read what you have to say about these films.

It WAS a reason to watch them all. Then, as often happens, the general masses found out about it, so it's now irrelevant because the brainless have wrecked it. I'm stunned none of the Twilight or Potter movies are in there.

Eventually it all rights itself, of course. Over time the ridiculous entries that found their way in through a flurry of activity upon release don't have the longevity to stick around, but still, at any given time there are several movies in it that blatantly shouldn't be.

Still, should be a mostly fun 250 days.

Gotta say though, you should have come up with a better name for the url. The Brad 250 sounds like one of those porn record attempts...

Totally agree. I mean, IMDb users fucking hate the Twilight series, so that's not a real risk, but I do see your point. And sure, Kick-Ass and How to Train Your Dragon probably don't belong (although I loved Kick-Ass and expect to be quite entertained by HTTYD). I'll probably have similar comments to what you're saying now in the blog entries for those anyhow.

And as for the porn thing, well, at least if times get tough I already have dibs on the URL.

I remember having the conversation about seeing all the best movies of all time with a guy at my old job once. I can't remember how many I've seen, but it's not many. Maybe not even as many as you'd seen prior to this little escapade. But I must say some, regardless of how good they are, just don't interest me. 'Casablanca', for instance. I just don't care.

I will catch up on some though. Some of the westerns for sure.
